Make Exercise a Priority, Even When You’re Traveling for the Holidays

The holidays are a busy time of year when our regular exercise routine can easily go by the wayside. How do you make sure your physical activity level doesn’t plummet during the season, even when you’re traveling?

Our holiday travel always involves a visit with family, which means I can’t take advantage of a hotel gym. But since exercise is still a priority, it’s key to pack exercise equipment that can be used no matter what family member we’re staying with. I’ve been known to haul my collapsible rebounder around with me whenever we travel by car. It doesn’t take up much space, and I can work out even if the weather outside is frightful. Unfortunately, I’m not sure if I could find that kind of motivation for a cold, snowy walk. With my rebounder, even a quick 20-minute workout prevents the sluggish feeling that comes from too much celebration and not enough movement. And when I’m done, it easily slides under the bed.

The rebounder isn’t so practical when we travel by plane, though. In this case, I need something that will fit in a suitcase and that I can use anywhere. Any ideas on compact exercise equipment that’s easy to pack?
