My daily life is part of the ‘paw’some world of canine companionship where wagging tails and wet noses reign supreme! I’ve always had a deep love of animals, dogs being at the top of the totem pole. My four fur babies aren’t just pets; they’re bona fide members of my family. I’ve always preached that the worse part of owning a dog is that they don’t live long enough!
To fully understand the true emotion in this post, I must go back in time eight years to when we adopted our sweet Cortana girl. She was a six-month-old black Labrador Pit Bull mix up for adoption at the local Pet’s Mart. One look into her sweet caramel eyes and we knew she was coming home with us.
In the years since, Cortana has become a cherished member of our family. I’ve met hundreds of dogs but have never known one to be as sweet and loving as her. Everyone who meets her is instantly enamored with her genuine kindness. We often call her an “aggressive cuddler” because if you start loving on her, she will push her way onto our lap and stay there as long as she can (all 80 pounds of her!).
Fast forward to present day and our sweet girl is greying around the eyes and slowing down. Then, a few months ago, we noticed her not using her back leg and laying down most of the day. After taking her to the vet we discovered she not only tore a ligament in that knee but has arthritis in various parts of her body. Our only options were extremely expensive and risky surgery (not recommended by the vet due to her age) or medication to help with the pain. Neither had a great prognosis.
My vet also recommended a join supplement, and I knew just where to go to get her one! I immediately ordered Standard Process Canine Flex Support and got her on it daily. She took some pain medication as well and after just a few weeks, she was using her back leg again!
Fast forward to present day and after months of using Canine Flex Support daily, she is back to fully functional! She will be on her supplement for the rest of her life, and how grateful I am to Standard Process for giving her more life to live.
We know that Standard Process supplements help with all manner of ailments for humans. Just look in Joseph Antell’s book, Adjuvant Protocols for Healing, and you’ll find hundreds of protocols. However, we don’t always think of supplements for our fur babies as well, and I cannot advocate enough for the importance of them!

Cheers to years more with the ones we adore!
