Health Foundations

The Weston A. Price Foundation (WAPF)

The Weston A Price Foundation is dedicated to restoring nutrient-dense foods to the human diet through education, research, and activism. It supports a number of movements that contribute to this objective, including accurate nutrition instruction, organic and biodynamic farming, pasture-feeding of livestock, community-supported farms, honest and informative labeling, prepared parenting, and nurturing therapies. Specific goals include establishment of universal access to clean, certified raw milk and a ban on the use of soy formula for infants.

The WAPF seeks to establish a laboratory to test the nutrient content of foods, particularly butter produced under various conditions; to conduct research into the “X Factor,” discovered by Dr. Price; and to determine the effects of traditional preparation methods on nutrient content and availability in whole foods.

The Price-Pottenger Nutrition Foundation (PPNF)

Through the dissemination of the ancestral wisdom practiced by pre-industrial societies and through modern scientific validation of the principles of sound nutrition, the Price-Pottenger Nutrition Foundation provides guidance for the reversal of modern civilized dietary trends that promote disease and physical and mental degeneration.

The PPNF is dedicated to achieving the optimum expression of our human genetic potential and harmony with nature’s laws through the right use of technology and the practical application of the principles of sound nutrition. The foundation provides accurate information on whole foods and proper preparation techniques, soil improvement, natural farming, pure water, non-toxic dentistry, and holistic therapies in order to conquer disease, prevent birth defects, avoid personality disturbances and delinquency, enhance the environment, and enable all people to achieve long life and excellent health, now and into the twenty-first century.

To assure the healing professionals and the public will always have access to the critical nutritional discoveries of Dr. Price, the PPNF has a mandate to maintain in print his book Nutrition and Physical Degeneration, which contains the documentation of his research.

The International Foundation for Nutrition and Health (IFNH)

The International Foundation for Nutrition and Health is a non-profit educational organization reaching out to healthcare professionals. The IFNH collects and disseminates unique information on nutrition and whole-food concentrates. It is our belief that since the research on nutrition and health prior to the 1940s was done with natural whole foods (whereas the research done after World War II has been done with synthesized chemical by-products), the answers to all our health needs are well stated and documented in these earlier works of nutrition research. There is no need to reinvent the wheel.

The work that IFNH represents covers over 140 years of collective research conducted by renowned leaders in the fields of medicine, biochemistry, and dentistry, such as Drs. Royal Lee, Melvin Page, Francis Pottenger, Weston Price, Howell, Bieler, Myers, Wiley, Tilden, Bechamp, and others. The IFNH is the conservator of many of the original books, manuscripts, photos, and research papers of these pioneers, whose message is as important today as when their works were first published. These groundbreakers paved the way for many accomplished healthcare professionals and researchers today, many of whom currently serve on the IFNH Advisory Board.
